Mateusz Stolarski had been working at the club from Lublin since September 2022, when he joined Goncalo Feio's coaching staff as his assistant. In March 2024, he took over as head coach and shortly afterwards celebrated promotion to PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa.
In the 2024/2025 season, the Lublin side under Stolarski finished in a historic 7th place in the league table, collecting a total of 49 points. It was a remarkable celebration of the club's 75th anniversary. In the following campaign, Motor earned slightly fewer points – 43 – which secured them 12th place in the standings (10 wins, 13 draws and 11 defeats).
– Mateusz Stolarski sat on the coaching bench during 82 matches, in which Motor recorded 30 wins, 24 draws and 28 defeats. The average number of points earned by Motorowcy in those matches was 1.39. Coach, thank you for everything! We wish you the best of luck and continued success in your career! – Motor Lublin announced.
Shortly after the announcement regarding the parting with Mateusz Stolarski, Motor introduced his successor. The choice of the Lublin club's authorities fell on Mariusz Misiura, the former coach of Wisła Płock, who signed a contract with the team until the end of June 2029.
The 45-year-old coach had been managing Nafciarze since 2024, with whom, similarly to his predecessor but a year later, he won promotion to PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa through the play-offs. Last season, Wisła started brilliantly, recording 5 wins in the first 6 rounds. It was Mariusz Misiura who received the award for the best coach in our league in July. Under his tenure, Wisła set a new record for the longest unbeaten run in Ekstraklasa (11 matches). The promoted side sensationally finished the autumn round in first place. Ultimately, at the end of the 2025/2026 season, the Płock side finished in 8th place, accumulating 46 points (12 wins, 10 draws and 12 defeats).
