

Wieczysta Kraków became the third promoted side in the 2026/2027 PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa season, joining Wisła Kraków and Śląsk Wrocław. In the playoff final, they beat Chrobry Głogów 2:1 thanks to goals from Lisandro Semedo and Stefan Feiertag. The former is just one of many players in this squad who already have experience at the top level of football in Poland. The team of Kazimierz Moskal features, among others: Michał Pazdan, Kamil Pestka, Dawid Szymonowicz, Karol Fila, Rafał Pietrzak, Mikkel Maigaard, Maciej Gajos, Carlitos and Miki Villar.
For Wieczysta Kraków, this is their first ever promotion to the Ekstraklasa. They became the 88th debutant and the 14th in the 21st century. This is the third club from Kraków to play in our league in the 2026/2027 season – previously, three teams from the same city played at the same time in the 1994/1995 season (Olimpia Poznań, Lech Poznań, Warta Poznań). Three representatives of Kraków playing at the same time was last seen in 1953 (Wisła Kraków, Cracovia, Wawel Kraków). It is the city with the highest number of clubs in the history of the Ekstraklasa (8; Wisła, Cracovia, Jutrzenka, Wawel, Podgórze, Hutnik, Garbarnia, Wieczysta).
